I had a quiet day relaxing in town and in my room. Low clouds most of the day, so not much to see. I did walk through the wholesale fish auction at the end of the day, which was interesting.

Finisterre - day 2
This is pretty much the end of the road. Mile (kilometer) marker 0.000 on the Camino de Finisterre, which started in Santiago and ends here, at the lighthouse on the end of the point of land beyond the village of Finisterre.
540 miles from Saint Jean Pied de Port.
65 days since I started walking.
From a photography perspective, today didn't offer much. Fog rolled in mid-morning, and stayed most of the day. It had its own kind of beauty, streaming through the forests and twisting around buildings and boulder (but it is beyond at least my ability as a photographer to capture this.)
The harbor at dawn:
The lighthouse:
The last point of land beyond the lighthouse:
The endless ocean beyond... 🤔
Staying in Finisterre tomorrow. Going to try to give my legs a rest.

Finisterre
After 64 days and 540 miles, I walked into the sea at the end of the world (finis-terre).
My day started with coffee in Corcubión,
then breakfast at a seaside restaurant,
a few more hills,
and a final walk along the beach to reach the fishing village of Finisterre.
In the evening, I crossed the narrow peninsula to watch the sun set over the open ocean.
Tomorrow, I will walk out to the end of the cape, and in a couple days I will carry my pack north to Muxia. But today had the feel of beginning to bring the journey to an end, and it was a beautiful day.
I will stay in Finisterre for the next two nights at Casa de Cusculias.

Cee
Tonight, I am staying within a half mile of the water - but I haven't gotten there yet. And after 6+ hours of walking and lots of hills, I'm too tired to go down and back up tonight. The water will still be there tomorrow!
Today started with thick fog in the high country. Eventually it cleared, and I had another nice day of walking - over lots of hills. Occasional glimpses of the deep blue horizon of the sea kept me going.
Tomorrow: 13 kilometers to Finisterre, and if I'm up for it, another 5 km to the end of the road (and the land!) I'll be staying at Pension López in Finisterre.
Yes, that's a statue of a Werewolf. See: Vákner.
